The highly trained staff at Compass Counseling & Evaluation are ready to come along side you and provide the direction you're looking for.  
 
Compass Counseling & Evaluation is a multi-disciplinary agency providing a wide variety of behavioral health services, including individual therapy for all ages, as well as therapy for couples and families.
A full range of evaluation services including neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults are also offered.
Formerly Child and Family Counseling Center, our agency has been serving the Roaring Fork Valley since 1980.

Dr. Shanley Mangeot, PsyD

Dr. Mangeot has expertise in working with children and adolescents with brain injury, and other neurological and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Mangeot also works with youth who have learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and developmental delays. She offers comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, which promote an increased understanding of a person’s unique profile of strengths and weaknesses, and outline detailed recommendations for families, educators, and other treatment providers. Dr. Mangeot also offers individual and couples therapy for adults, as well as adult evaluations, including parenting evaluations.

Karen believes relationships are vital to mental health and well-being. Our relationships provide us with the resiliency and comfort necessary to face the challenges of life. As a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples (EFT) Therapist/Supervisor, Karen works with couples to help them rebuild, renew and strengthen the connections necessary for healthy partnerships. Karen also has training in other evidence-based models for treatment of depression, anxiety, anger management. She has extensive training in working with Attachment Disordered children in attachment parenting. Karen is an EMDR level one therapist and treats clients with trauma. Karen’s calm and caring nature aids clients in initiating change to live their best lives. Karen is dedicated to assisting clients in healing mind, body, and spirit using a integrative, nurturing approach.

Kerri is a licensed professional counselor and has provided therapy since 2000 . She sees children, adolescents, and adults, and her areas of treatment focus include: women’s issues, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, school problems, anger management, parent-child conflicts, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Her specialized training is in the areas of  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Life Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, and specialized work with

 parenting issues, adolescents, and families. As a solution focused therapist Kerri’s approach uses a blend of sensitivity and compassion to support clients in discovering success in their lives when dealing with a broad range of challenges.

Krysten is a strength-based, solution- focused therapist with a practical and supportive approach. She provides an empathetic compassionate space where clients can freely express themselves and get feedback without judgement. She enjoys working with individuals to reach personal goals, reduce stress and anxiety, stabilize mood symptoms, and increase overall functioning in all aspects of life. She works with families and couples to improve their relationships and address issues such as communication, intimacy, trust, and conflict resolution. She also enjoys working with young women and men going through transitional times in their lives. Whether it be graduating, starting or ending a new relationship, or struggling with a phase of life change, she provides counseling and coaching to help the client reach their full and healthy potential.
Krysten received her M.S. in Counseling from San Diego State University in 1999 and received her B.A. from University of San Diego in 1994. She has been in private practice for 12 years and has worked with a variety of diverse clients.
Prior to private practice, Krysten's experience included working in in-home services with high risk families as well as with chronically mentally ill adults in a crisis house setting. In addition, she has worked in a day treatment and outpatient setting with adolescent sex offenders and sexually reactive children.
